Cause the people that dwell on the coast & some of the ones on the I-80 corrider feel it for our own good to take away our hard earned money & give to people that do not work because its easier to get welfare, along with protecting animals that can live anywhere they want not just 'dead trees', & protect flies & other non essentials in our enviroment. CA is one of the biggest tax states in the 50, so unless u r used to the system or can not find a job in another state ur stuck.

Unless the iPod 16GB you were planning to buy is very much cheaper than the ones l have seen advertised, $20 is not a lot of sales tax.
